With the SCT BDX, you can use the tuner as a traditional handheld device, meaning you plug it in to your diagnostic port, download the power level tune you want, clear codes, etc and then unplug the device. Your vehicle will retain the tune you choose, and you go about your business. It can also be used by leaving it plugged in all the time, allowing you to view different engine parameters while driving. If you choose that usage route, we highly recommend you get the optional BDX Magnetic Window Mount. This will give you a useful and convenient way to view your tuner's monitor while driving.
